Sophie Ernst will show a new series of works in her on-going project Home. This particular project of video installations is based around interviews with citizens of Ramallah on ideas of home. Ernst explores how remembered images from the past and notions of the ideal inform views of the present.
Hamra Abbas will show God Grows on Trees – a series of 99 hand painted portraits based on photographs she took of these children in various madrassahs (religious schools) in Pakistan and a new installation work; In this there is a sign for those who reflect. Green Cardamom will launch its publication on Hamra Abbas this summer. |
